WINDAN - ‘Like the Wind’

Originally carved from a scrap cleaved off a large block of Carrara Marble, this ‘sailboat’ like shape was an experiment to see how thin I could get the marble. The ‘sail part of the stone was translucent. I never meant it to look like a boat, it just came out that way. In art, a Patina is the controlled oxidation of a surface of metal through a chemical reaction.
