EIDOS - ‘Essence’

I was enamored with this shard of Cypriot Alabaster. It’s on the small size for me but I studied the block for at least a year before it finally spoke to me. It has no hole! EIDOS is a Greek term meaning ‘Essence’ from Plato’s theory of forms. I thought it appropriate since I carved material away and left only the stone’s essence.
