Sonoma County Artists Invited to Participate in Art & Found Day on March 12
Sonoma County, CA — Artist T Barny is inviting fellow artists throughout Sonoma County to participate in the upcoming Art & Found Day on March 12, a global movement centered on generosity, surprise, and direct community connection through art.
At a time when the national climate feels divided and uncertain, Art & Found Day offers a simple yet powerful gesture: artists create a small piece of original artwork, wrap it, attach a label, and include their contact information inside. The artwork is then quietly placed in a public setting for a stranger to discover and keep. No galleries. No gatekeepers. Just art, freely given.
Founded by Canadian artist Courtney Senior, Art & Found Day is based on the idea that art can spark unexpected connection; a passerby discovers a piece and experiences a moment of surprise and shared humanity.
Barny, who participated last year, calls it “joyful and inspiring” and believes that if enough artists join in, the collective effort can create a powerful ripple effect across Sonoma County.
To support local participation, Barny will coordinate social media promotion, provide shareable posts, and notify local media to help extend the project’s reach beyond traditional art circles.
Artists can find participation details and downloadable labels at:

Artists who plan to participate are encouraged to contact T Barny directly to be included in the coordinated outreach efforts.
While each artwork may be small, the collective gesture can be significant. Through beauty, curiosity, and generosity, Sonoma County artists have an opportunity to offer a shared experience of hope—one found object at a time.
