Rainbow Obsidian
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass created when lava is extruded from vents and cools quickly. It has been used for centuries as a tool and a weapon since the edges can be chipped away to create an extremely sharp edge. Well-crafted obsidian blades can have a cutting edge many times sharper than high-quality steel surgical scalpels. This piece of Rainbow Obsidian was mined in Northern California and has a “schiller” there are bands of color that reflect a rainbow pattern in certain light.
