OPACUS is invited to de Young Open 2023

T Barny is honored to have his Belgian Marble sculpture OPACUS - ‘Obscures the Sun’ chosen for the de Young Open 2023. This is the second triennial juried community art exhibition of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. It features artists from the nine Bay Area counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.

Of 7,700 entries only 900 works were chosen to be installed in the de Young Museum’s Herbst Exhibition Galleries. Of those 900 works, only 38 were sculptures!

Designed to celebrate and support our local arts communities, The de Young Open 2023 invites you to see the creativity of the Bay Area under one roof.

The show runs from September 30, 2023 to January 7, 2024. Admission to the de Young Museum is free on Saturdays and the 1st Wednesday of every month.
